Short answer: Nissan changed the Rogue's interior light layout three times between 2008 and 2022, and each generation needs a different kit. The 2008-2013 Rogue takes an 11-piece kit. The 2014-2020 takes 12. The 2021-2022 drops back to 11. All three are Canbus error free, plug and play, and run $52.99 to $53.99 depending on the version.

Which kit fits your Rogue
Rogue generation matters more than trim level here. The bulb housings changed when the body did, and a 2014 kit will not seat properly in a 2010.
| Your Rogue | Model years | Kit size | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| First generation | 2008-2013 | 11 pieces | $52.99 |
| Second generation | 2014-2020 | 12 pieces | $53.99 |
| Third generation | 2021-2022 | 11 pieces | $52.99 |
The second generation gets one extra bulb, which is why it costs a dollar more. Nothing else differs between them.
What the kit covers
An 11 or 12 piece kit is designed to replace every interior bulb in one go, not just the overhead dome. That means the front map lights, the center dome, the rear courtesy lights, the vanity mirrors in the sun visors, the cargo area, and the license plate bulbs. Doing it all at once is the reason the light looks consistent instead of patchy.
If your Rogue has a sunroof, a trim-specific lighting package, or an aftermarket head unit, check your actual bulb count before ordering. Most Rogues match the table above, but Nissan did ship some odd configurations.
Color choices, and an honest comparison
Three options: WHITE, Crystal Blue, and Warm White.
| Color | Color temperature | What it looks like |
|---|---|---|
| WHITE | around 6000K | Crisp, slightly blue-tinted white. Brightest perceived output. |
| Crystal Blue | cooler, blue-shifted | Noticeably blue. Popular for a custom look. |
| Warm White | around 3000K | Soft yellow-white, close to the stock bulbs but brighter. |
WHITE is what most people buy. It reads as "modern car interior" and it's the brightest of the three. Crystal Blue is a look, and you either want it or you don't, because it will be obvious to anyone who gets in. Warm White surprises people: it keeps the factory feel and just makes everything visible. If you mostly drive at night and hate the blue tint bouncing off the windows, Warm White is the one that won't annoy you.
Why Canbus error free matters
Older Rogue models monitor bulb resistance. Drop in a cheap LED and the car notices the resistance change, decides the bulb is dead, and throws a warning on the dash. Some cars also cut power to that circuit, so the light works for a second and then doesn't.
The Canbus error free design here matches the resistance the car expects, so the warning never fires. This is the difference between a kit you install in fifteen minutes and a kit that turns into a weekend project.
Installing it
You don't need tools beyond a plastic trim tool, and honestly a flathead screwdriver wrapped in tape works for most of the panels.
- Pop the lens covers off the map lights and dome. They clip in, and they come off with a firm pull. Start at one corner.
- Pull the old bulb straight out. Push the new LED in.
- Turn on the light. If it doesn't light up, pull it out and flip it 180 degrees. LEDs are polarity sensitive and roughly half of a first-time install has a bulb that needs flipping. This is not a broken product.
- Work through the vanity lights, cargo light, and plate lights the same way.
- Re-seat any lens that sits loose by bending the retaining clip slightly.
Total time is around 15 minutes. Budget 30 if this is your first one.
Common questions
Will these fit a 2017 Rogue SV? Yes. Trim level doesn't change the bulb housings on the second generation. You want the 12-piece kit.
Do they work with a Rogue that has the Around View monitor? Yes, the camera system is unrelated to the interior lighting circuit.
Will they drain my battery when the car is off? No. The interior lights are on the same switched circuit as the factory bulbs. They draw less power than the halogens they replace.
Do they get hot? No. LED runs much cooler than halogen, which is one reason the rated lifespan is 50,000 hours.
Can I mix colors? Technically yes, but you'd need to buy two kits. Nobody does this, and mixing looks wrong.
What if I order the wrong generation? The pieces are physically different sizes. Contact us before installing and we'll swap it.
