Instruction Manual

1. Tools Required

Phillips Screwdriver, Plastic Pry Tool

2. Pre-installation Notice

1. Turn off the vehicle engine, remove the car key.

2. Disconnect the vehicle negative battery terminal to avoid short circuit and fuse burnout.

3. DO NOT pry plastic parts violently to prevent buckle fracture.

3. Step-by-Step Installation Guide

Step 1 Remove Trunk Inner Trim Panel

Open the trunk lid, gently pry all peripheral plastic clips off with a plastic pry tool, then take off the whole inner trim panel to expose wiring harness and fixing parts.

Step 2 Remove Original Old Assembly

1. Unscrew 2 fixing nuts of license plate lights, push out the old light assembly from outside.

2. Unplug the original wiring plug.

3. Push the old trunk switch inward to separate it from the car body hole.

Step 3 Install New 95961097 Assembly

1. Snap the new trunk switch into the outer mounting hole tightly.

2. Install license plate lights in place, fasten 2 fixing nuts securely.

3. Fasten the rubber waterproof grommet into the sheet metal hole for waterproof protection.

4. Insert the wiring plug until hearing a click sound for full locking connection.

Step 4 Reset & Function Test

1. Arrange wiring harness neatly to avoid extrusion damage.

2. Install and buckle back the trunk inner trim panel.

3. Reconnect the battery negative terminal.

4. Test: Turn on parking light, two license plate lights light up normally; Press trunk button, trunk lid pops open smoothly.

4. Common Fault Troubleshooting

✅ Trunk button no response: Loose/corroded plug terminals, damaged internal switch, broken trunk folding wire. Clean plug terminals for retry.

✅ Single license plate light off: Burnt bulb or poor lamp holder contact.

✅ Water fog inside lamp cover: Aging sealant. Add waterproof silicone glue on lamp seams.

5. Important Warning

❌ This part is NOT compatible with Chevrolet Cruze Hatchback, only for sedan models.

❌ Keep wiring bending gentle to prevent internal wire breakage.

❌ Confirm waterproof rubber ring installed in place to avoid rainwater leakage.
